2020 HOBY Virginia Seminar Facilitator Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with HOBY Virginia and providing a life-changing experience for young leaders across our state!

Facilitators serve as role models, mentors, and leaders for the leadership seminar. The staff provides safe boundaries and maintain the seminar rules.

Expectations:

Create and foster an inclusive environment for all in attendance
Watch for safety concerns, and report any concerns to the Director of Staff or Leadership Seminar Chair (LSC)
Be an enthusiastic, positive, and professional role model for all youth
Think first and foremost about Ambassadors' experiences
Be organized, prompt, and respectful
Adhere to and enforce the HOBY Code of Conduct

Our seminar will be held at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Facilitators must be present for staff training on Thursday, May 28th at approximately 5:00 PM through the entirety of the seminar ending on Sunday, May 31st around 2:00 PM.
